I enjoyed the service, and the view from the room was excellent. The room service meal we had was also excellent. The room was quite large and the beds and pillows very comfortable.

Ther was construction noise due to redevelopment of the city mall from 7.30 am and the airconditioning was also a bit noisy

The lady that was there when we first arrived was extremely friendly & helpful. There was also a gentleman with her and they gave us lovely advice & directions to the Mag Island ferry. Also offered the valet service. She made us feel very welcome and at home - it was late Thursday night, 28 April 2011. I think I saw her once more during our stay, she gave us a very good first impression not only of the hotel & staff but also of the people of Townsville. Loved the hard & soft pillows in the room. Liked the internet connection in the room and that there was a choice of physical (wire) and remote connectivity. Liked the mini bar. Liked that the safe was big enough to put my laptop into.

Didn't like that there weren't valances on our single beds for the duration of our stay. Didn't like that the bed hindered access to the cupboard (not too much one can do about it though, given the room shape I suppose). Would've liked fresh (body) towels every day, not just on the days that I put my used towel on the bathroom floor. Didn't like that I booked a standard double room (with 2 double beds), but ended up with a room with 2 single beds.

I had great views from my window and it was centrally located.

I don't think it was worth $159.00 a night. I thought that it was worth about $120. In fact, when I booked, I was sure that I was paying $150 a night and was quite surprised when I paid my bill. Also, when I arrived, I asked to be downgraded to just one person, accommodation wise as I thought that this would save me a bit of money and was told that I could not. I thought surely, this could have been organised and because of this I won't go back to this hotel.

It was very quite and relaxing. Customer service from staff was excellent. Which is lacking in many other hotels, retail, etc around Australia.

Finding the mini bar empty on late arrival was disappointing. We were looking forward to relaxing with a nice cold drink when we arrived.

I had left my glasses and approx $350 worth of supporters clothing from the cowboys football clubin my room 703. After informing the Hotel they assured me they would look and return my call, which they have not o far?. Total value of the items left behind is around $1000, which includes three supporters shirts/jumpers. All I can infur that this type of service/theft has left a dirty taste in my mouth and I will never stay there again. I have informed other government departments of my concerns with your lack of or questionable lack of honesty.

Did not like the fact there is no accommodation for vehicles & had to pay for Valet service to secure my work vehicle. Will not be staying there again for this ONLY reason

Room service was available at 6.15am, cafe staff very helpful for meetings

The mini bar was empty not even a bottle of water, I wont pay $3.00 for a waiter to bring me up water.

The Service was impecible. All employee's were very polite. I liked the fact that staff were available 24hrs if you required their assistance.

I didn't like that they didn't supply a plastic jug for water, I had to order water. They didn't have any cutlery in the room other than spoons to make a cup of tea etc for customers who prefered to buy food and bring to the motel.

The rate was pretty reasonable and in the city.

    The rooms are very small.
